Description
The two B39-8Es in the ex-LMX paint on the HMCR's roster sit together in the morning sunlight along-side Heart of Huntsville Drive. HMCR 8560's nose, which shines rather brightly in the mid-morning sun, with a striking contrast to the other engine it's paired up with: HMCR 8539, which is rather faded and rusty looking. HMCR 8539 had been thought to be nothing more than a parts engine/scrap due to the state it arrived in, but after some hard work over the latter half of 2016, (including installing a horn, replacing the rear ditch lights, and replacing a dead traction motor, among other things) the engine was finally able to move under its own power again, with it making its first runs in early 2017 (including pulling 70-80 gondolas all by itself), the first time in at least 8 years for the engine, if I'm recalling what the people at the railroad said correctly.

Sounds like #8539 has not yet expended all nine of its lives!
